KING'S WISDOM FOR ENGLISH LANGUAGE LEARNING : ELT INNOVATIVE PEDAGOGY
This special session features the winners of ThaiTESOL project, entitled 'King's Wisdom'. The project was co-sponsored by Moral Promotion Center (Public Organization), Foundation for a Clean and Transparent Thailand (FaCT), Do D Foundation, and Thailand TESOL Association. Its aim is to promote and highlight primary and secondary students' English proficiency using His Majesty King Bhumibol's Philosophy of Sustainability. In this session, implications of how the project-based approach, especially the royal project of sustainability, help improve English skills will be presented.
ThaiTESOL Special Session: King's Wisdom
Danai Chanchaochai is the senior consultant for CEO of DC Consultants and Marketing Communications, Thailand’s leading marketing and public relations consulting agency. He is also the CEO of DMG Books, a publishing house famous for printing Dhamma books and books on the royal family. In addition, he chairs in over 20 public and private institutions such as Do D Foundation, Palliatative Care Thailand Foundation, Anti-Corruption Organization of Thailand, and the Young Buddhists Association of Thailand.
Satit Somjai is currently an English teacher at Bodindecha (Sing Singhaseni) School in Bangkok, Thailand. He received his master’s degree in Teaching English as a Foreign Language from Srinakharinwirot University, Thailand. He is pursuing his Ph.D. in English Language Teaching at Language Institute, Thammasat University. He is also interested in implementing innovation to develop student’s vocabulary acquisition.
Tharach Puttarak is currently an English teacher at Bunyawat Witthayalai School in Lampang, Thailand. With a B.A. and M.A. in English, he has been now teaching speaking and listening skills in English. He also encourages the 21st century skills among his students to promote and make them potential global citizens.
