BLENDED LEARNING IN ENGLISH LANGUAGE TEACHING : BLENDED LEARNING AND SOCIETY

Blended learning describes a way where e-learning or online digital media is combined with traditional classroom methods so that a part of the traditional face to face instruction is replaced with the web-based online learning. This method requires the physical presence of both teacher and students in the classroom. The integration of face to face and online learning to help enhance the classroom experience and extended learning through the innovative use of information and communication technology. Blended strategies enhanced students engagement and learning through online activities to the course curriculum and improve effectiveness and efficiencies by reducing lecture method. 21st century brings different opportunities and challenges for educational institutions. Many institutions are embracing the new technologies into their system. Hence, this paper aims to play the vital role in building up 21st century skills and to use in to the classrooms in teaching and learning process So that today’s students come pre-skilled with technology proficiency to schools and a build in acceptance for new technology.

Mr Tulsi Ram Dangi is an English Language Teacher . He has been teaching more than 15 years. He has presented in several national and international workshops, seminars and conferences. He has completed dozens of online courses from the reputed universities of the USA, UK and Australia. He is the mentor of MOOCs, vice president of NELTA and assistant treasurer of PABSON Dang, Nepal.
