HOW TO DEAL WITH LEARNERS' DIFFERENT LEARNING STYLES IN THE COUNTRYSIDE BASED ON CLT OF THE HELLO PROJECT (ZOOM.US) : BLENDED LEARNING AND SOCIETY

The Hello Project was set up by Teacher Cheewin and native English speaker Don Moses (from England) in February 2019. The project was set up to inspire school children (from rural areas of Trang Province) to believe they can learn English. Almost none of the countryside school children in Trang Province have been taught by a native English speaker, so, with this in mind, the project was set up to solve this problem. The project enables one native speaker to make contact with three schools at a time. It would be impossible without modern day technology (zoom.us) and, just as importantly, the great work done by the Thai teachers in the classrooms. So, in reality, there are four teachers (3 Thai English teachers and 1 native English speaker teaching from his office at home). Finally, all learners changed attitudes into good ways in English.

Cheewin Wattanasin has more 12 years of teaching experience both in primary and secondary schools. He started working as a private teacher before changing into government teachers. The Learning Process has been mainly supported as CLT (Communicative Language Teaching) in the countryside in order to enrich the students' achievement.
