About Thai Tesol International Conference

Welcome to Thailand TESOL International Conference

Thailand TESOL currently invites all those working in the field of English Language Teaching or related areas to submit an abstract for the 38 th Thailand TESOL International Conference on January 26 – 27, 2018 at The Empress Hotel Chiang Mai, Thailand. The theme of the conference is “Digital Literacy in English Language Learning and Teaching.”

We welcome presentations, workshops, and poster sessions from all aspects of the “Digital Literacy in English Language Learning and Teaching”. Not only do we wish to explore ELT in Thailand, but also in Asia and across the globe in the age of 21st-century literacies. Our goal is to stage a forum for in-depth discussions, a day of inquiry and critical engagement that will promote effective classroom practices for the benefit of English language learners as well as to provide opportunities for English language teaching professionals to exchange their teaching experiences, and innovative teaching approaches and techniques. Researchers, university faculties, school teachers, students, and administrators from any discipline or department who want to learn and share about using and implementing digital tools to enhance English language teaching and learning are welcomed. Proposals addressing the conference theme will receive first consideration.

The aims of the Thailand TESOL 2018 conference are:

1) To offer a scholarly platform for both Thai and international teachers/educators, from pre-service teacher trainees to veterans, to reflect on their ideas about “Technology, Digital Literacies and English Education” in order to enhance their understanding of 21st century literacies of ELT;

2) To promote and disseminate new research contributions and information about teachers’ experiences in order to strengthen teaching and learning in current and future classrooms for teachers, teacher educators, and policy makers;

3) To foster and enhance discussion, reflection and network-building that will assist professional teachers to more fully participate as integrated members of their respective home countries’ English language teaching communities.
